The Evenstad Center for Wine Education at Linfield University
DISCOVER YOUR PASSION FOR WINE
The Evenstad Center for Wine Education at Linfield University offers a unique, comprehensive, and interdisciplinary approach to wine studies providing learners a foundation to launch or advance their careers. We aspire to become an exceptional, globally recognized program developing future leaders of the wine industry. Our core values include integrity, adaptability and innovation, diversity and inclusion, collaboration and resilience, and commitment to excellence.
Currently our programs are offered on the idyllic, private campus where Linfield University resides in the heart of the Willamette Valley in McMinnville, Oregon. The valley boasts over 700 wineries making it Oregon’s leading wine region and is recognized globally as one of the premier Pinot noir-producing areas.
There are numerous scholarship opportunities for Wine Studies learners that are available each year, mostly made by private donors and the Oak and Vine Society Linfield University Wine Club.
Internships provide invaluable hands-on experience and further develop your professional skills. Some wineries where wine studies majors at Linfield have found internship placements include:
- Domaine Serene
- Elizabeth Chambers Cellar
- Willamette Valley Vineyards
- International Pinot Noir Celebration
- Dobbes Family Estate
INTERNATIONAL PINOT NOIR CELEBRATION
The IPNC is a three-day event, famous around the globe, as a mecca for lovers of Pinot noir and northwest cuisine. Annually, the IPNC is hosted by Linfield and offers a unique, paid opportunity for wine studies students.
